20mm Ballast is a mixture of sharp sand and gravel in various diameters from 20mm down to dust. 20mm Ballast is often referred to as "All In Ballast", due to it being comprised of all the elements needed to mix into concrete by adding water and cement.
Building Sand is a fine, general purpose sand used commonly in bricklaying and plastering. Building sand is available in both bulk bags and 25kg bags.
Sharp Sand is a coarse building sand used commonly in the construction of concrete floors, render and hard landscaping. Sharp sand is available in bulk bags and handy 25kg grab bags.
Kiln Dried Sand is often referred to as "Jointing Sand", thanks to its prevalence in hard landscaping. Kiln Dried Sand is most commonly used for jointing between paving slabs and on driveway block paving, thanks to its exceptional suitability. Kiln Dried Sand is available in 25kg grab bags.
MOT Type 1 is crushed stone (limestone, genite) or concrete that meets the requirement of the Department of Transport Specification for Highway Works, Clause 803. MOT Type 1 is available in bulk bags only.
