Driver required to work for our Garden Machinery, Plumbing and Heating departments, time to be split as needed. Located at two sites in Malvern.

Includes loading, unloading and delivering in two different large vans to our customers, plumbing and heating materials, collection and delivery of garden machinery including small to large mowers, ride ons, etc. Knowledge in either or both an advantage.

Must be punctual, polite, helpful, physically fit, hold a full UK driving license with no points, willing to muck in where needed in other areas if required.

County Building Supplies was established in 1987 by Martyn Rees and David Lloyd, with one old Transit pickup and a single employee, Steve Prince, at our first branch in Malvern, Worcestershire.

Today the company employs over 130 staff in 9 branches, with a fleet of vehicles offering daily deliveries to Cheltenham, Coventry, Droitwich, Evesham, Malvern, Monmouth, Nuneaton and their surrounding areas.

County Building Supplies stocks some 24,000 items from around 400 product manufacturers and caters to trade and retail customers across 4 exclusive brands: Building Supplies, Heating & Plumbing, Kitchen & Bathroom and Garden Machinery.



Reporting directly to the Operations Director, your job as Price Book Administrator will be to maintain costs, pricing and promotional attributes for a centrally managed, multi-company, computer-based Group Price Book.

The Price Book Administrator position regularly communicates and collaborates with Directors, Managers, Marketing, Sales and Counter Staff across our growing group of companies, which means the position requires strong organisational skills, exceptional spreadsheet skills, familiarity with file organisation structures, attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

  • Hours: Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm


Essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain accurate product costs.
  • Review and improve cost systems and procedures for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Receive, organise and maintain all vendor cost documentation in vendor price books.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies
  • Purge unnecessary records from system.
  • Perform heavy Data Entry in Price book accounting software.
  • Resolve pricing issues.
  • Change retail prices and costs on specific items in the price book database.
  • Update promotional information in price book database and notify staff.
  • As assigned by Directors and Managers, run sales and stock reports.
  • Establish and maintain confidential employer/business files.
  • Verify that item costs and pricing comply with contract agreements.
  • Uphold professionalism by providing courteous customer service to visitors, clients, and vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • College or University-level qualification, or comparable vocational attainment.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
  • Excellent understanding of the commercial and retail business environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Excellent computer skills, proficiency in working with databases.
  • Must possess proficient ability to communicate in English in oral and written format.
  • Ability to apply discretion and trust with confidential material.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering data.
  • Ability to effectively apply analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent time managing skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines.
